All About Me

I have been teaching for 10 years, and 9 of them have been at Apache. I am currently taking classes at Baker University to get my masters in education. I should be done in the spring of 2011. I have been married to my husband Derek for 6 1/2 years and in January we had our first child, a baby girl, Annika Faith. We also have two dogs that are pretty spoiled and they think they are our kids! I love teaching and I am lucky that I get the chance to teach many different grades. There are parts of each grade I like the most and I am always ready for school to start each year.

Welcome to my classroom blog. This is something new I will be doing this year and hopefully it will be a great way to show everyone the great things happening in our room. I will try to post something new every week and hopefully more! I am very excited to start the new school year.

New building! For those of you who do not know, we will be getting a new building in two years. Even though that seems like a long time, the construction has already begun. Although this is very exciting for our community, there will be certain challenges during the construction and move. I will do my best to keep you posted and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and concerns.

I know this will be a great year and I can't wait to begin school on August 16!
